Try to make use of OLAP Service Online Demo

Report 1: Internet Order Quantity by Product by Customer by Date

We can see the flow of the product, sales volume in particular period, how popular of the product easily in this report.
Purchase department can forecast the quantity of up coming orders by seeing the report. They can estimate how many quantity do each customer needs in a particular period, say monthly. By knowing the quantity of each product of order for each customer, marketing and sales department can find out what kind or which style of product that their customer would like. And, base on the data to develop next project.



Report 2: Sales Amount by Product by Sales Channel by Date

By seeing the sales amount of each channel, sales can know what kind and how much resourse should put into which channel. They could consider which kind of promotion should use in which channel to increase amount. Sales can also know which kind of product should sell by which chanel. Purchase department can forecast the quantity for each chanel.



Report 3: Reseller Sales Amount by Geography by Product by Date

According to this report, sales could know what kind of product is more popular in which area. They can plan the promotion and sales project depend on the sales amount of the product according to different area. Purchase can find out how many product sold by particular period and arrange the next order.

Blog
I Cable TV – the first and leading CABLE TV provider in Hong Kong. Their finance channel has launched a blog named “money cafĂ©”. From time to time, they will post news, articles, comments and video onto the blog. The blog allows the visitor to post the comments, feedback, and also articles on the blog too. The blog can bring interaction between the finance channel and its audience. It also allows the visitors to discuss or exchange ideas over the blog.

Interactive advertisement
Regarding the interactive advertisement, Google AdSense started showing
two arrows in the ad slots to show more related ads. By adding two arrows in the Ads, Google introduced user interactivity in online advertisement. Google introduced those two arrows, perhaps, it wanted users to interact with the slot for more related adsfor example, when you click travel agent on the goggle page, not only a list of travel agents information shows up, but also on the right hand side there is an ad slots on the right hand side showing the adv with related information likes special offer of air ticket, hotel package...etc. This is a new invention

Apply Daily is a leading newspaper in Hong Kong. Apply daily has a online newspaper website providing free news for the vsitors. We can find a interactive advertisement on apply daily website like the Pop up advertisement and the Flash banner advertisement. For example, once you visit the apply daily website, you will find a flash banner of “Hong Kong Productivity Counc” promoting the activities like workshop and seminar. Besides, there is a pop up advertisement of HTC mobile phone. The flash banner will chage automatically from time to time showing different advertisements when the vistors travel from one webpage to another.

RSS Feeds- is a tool to allow a website to make a headline or information to the reader. It provides reader convenience to read the most important information through the RSS FEED. Or reader can tailor make themselves the subscription of news headline or video. For example, Youtube also use RSS FEEDS on the interface. Visitor can subscribe the “most viewed” video via the RSS. It can help saving the time of the visitor to search the video one by one.

LINKEDIN- it is a very strong social network website. You can create your own professional networking over this website. Unless facebook or MSN, you can find NOT ONLY past and present colleagues or classmate, but also you can further develop your own professional network and useful contact. Since you need to provide real information above your professional (both in the past and current), education background and job title. So, you can easily reach the same professional group and old classmates as well. You can find job opportunity there too.
Besides, a company can advertise or post job vacancies on the LINKEDIN website too. Of course, it is subject to payment. LinkedIn also provides referral service which they will send the qualified candidate to the company who has vacancies.

In the Igoogle home page, it uses a lot of gadgets and also allows the user to create his own i Google pages and can manage his own gadgets. They have gadgets like currency conversion, Google translate, youtube video and weather information. Besides, you can add your own gadgets likes calculator and other function. I Goggle provides a function for you to tailor make your own gadgets. Once you log in your i Google web page, you can manage all these by yourself.
